Spectators: 6683 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jose Saturnin got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Berreta's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Leizarraga came free, but Fulgencio Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 3rd minute, Lino Leizarraga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Fernendo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Prospero Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Leizarraga in the 8th minute of play forced Berreta's goalkeeper Fulgencio Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Berreta booed when Cienaguita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Cienaguita's Tomás Odon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Fernendo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Saturnin in the 24th minute of play forced Berreta's goalkeeper Fulgencio Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Quinteros in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Gregorio Birila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Leizarraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute Jose Saturnin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Fernendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Berreta's zone, Tomás Odon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Fernendo came out of the goal and Tomás Odon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berreta's Fulgencio Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Millano in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Cienaguita got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Millano. Berreta's Tomás Hartz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Isidro Cortez but with some difficulty. In the 42nd minute, Andres Abel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Saturnin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Fernendo having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Cienaguita's Andres Abel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Fernendo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The Berreta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cienaguita were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Birila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Fernendo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Saturnin in the 56th minute. The supporters of Cienaguita booed when Berreta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Remigio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fulgencio Fernendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Leizarraga in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Berreta's Melchor Rafe got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Salvador Remigio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Cortez. Cienaguita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvador Remigio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 67th minute, Angelino Millano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lino Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jose Saturnin came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Cienaguita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Saturnin couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Berreta's goalkeeper Fulgencio Fernendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lino Leizarraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Berreta's goalkeeper Fulgencio Fernendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose Saturnin. 79 minutes into the match, Lino Leizarraga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fulgencio Fernendo, 1-4. Melchor Rafe struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Isidro Cortez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berreta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Birila in the 89th minute of play forced Cienaguita's goalkeeper Isidro Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Fernendo having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Lino Leizarraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cienaguita's Jose Saturnin got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cienaguita's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
