Liebig AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Palban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nemesio Pierres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Palban in the 39th minute of play forced CHIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Nemesio Pierres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Liebig AFC's goalkeeper Santos Darien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Liebig AFC's Nicolas Vergaray got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Liebig AFC had played much better football throughout.
