In the 27th minute of the match Dario Goito sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Otoniel skillfully saved the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Carlsen's Adrian Geleberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Otoniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Mufaso FC's zone, Roberto Cesaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Otoniel came out of the goal and Roberto Cesaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlsen's Roberto Cesaro got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Otoniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Geleberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Geleberto made a kick off. Luis Txeru charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Txeru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mufaso FC booed when Carlsen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Txeru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeo Harri, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 57th minute, Roberto Cesaro made a precise shot to the right of Osvaldo Otoniel. Osvaldo Otoniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The Mufaso FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carlsen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
