Edgard Gabrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Hunfredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Guido Urbasa fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored tigres rojos's protests and gave Guido Urbasa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to tigres rojos getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Guido Urbasa hit a great ball. Ildefonso Azibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Edgard Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, tigres rojos's Evelio Hunfredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgard Gabrio. Edgard Gabrio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ildefonso Azibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Edgard Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Centro's zone, Evelio Hunfredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Gabrio came out of the goal and Evelio Hunfredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ildefonso Azibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. tigres rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Azibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Gabrio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Gabrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Hunfredo in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Centro's zone, Ildefonso Azibar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Gabrio came out of the goal and Ildefonso Azibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ildefonso Azibar in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Gabrio saved Club Atlético Centro from getting behind. Edgard Gabrio came out of the goal and Ildefonso Azibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damian Ignatius's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Centro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Ignatius helped the player get up and apologised. Horacio Cisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Cruz having to interfere. If Ildefonso Azibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Horacio Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Cisco in the 94th minute of play forced tigres rojos's goalkeeper Federico Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the tigres rojos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
