Erasmo Gartzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute, Felix Eskuin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Erasmo Gartzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Quinquela Martín's Erasmo Gartzea tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Cascallares FC booed when Quinquela Martín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Barea didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Eskuin in the 28th minute of play forced Quinquela Martín's goalkeeper Martín Campaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Reyes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erasmo Gartzea went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erasmo Gartzea to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Cascallares FC got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Danel. 52 minutes into the match, Quinquela Martín's Ariel Rayman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The throw-in from Gogo Rey in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Quinquela Martín's Ariel Rayman. In the 62ndth minute of the game Erasmo Gartzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cascallares FC's Eriberto Reyes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Eskuin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Felix Eskuin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascallares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Eskuin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martín Campaña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ariel Rayman hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Cascallares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Gartzea came free, but Eriberto Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martín Campaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Eskuin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Gartzea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Eriberto Reyes made a huge save. When Honorato Sol came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Cascallares FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Sol couldn't finish the play. The Quinquela Martín supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quinquela Martín would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
