Elvio Haimar kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Horacio Cisco put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Martín Campaña. A sloppy throw-in by Basilio Ferrer in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Quinquela Martín's Ariel Rayman. A collision led to Quinquela Martín getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mauro Eusko hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Centro's zone, Erasmo Gartzea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Gabrio came out of the goal and Erasmo Gartzea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Acevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martín Campaña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Acevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Club Atlético Centro getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Fernando Acevedo hit a great ball. Edgard Gabrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Gartzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Erasmo Gartzea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quinquela Martín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Gartzea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Quinquela Martín's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Acevedo came free, but Martín Campaña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Centro's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Gartzea came free, but Edgard Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastian Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd match minute, Club Atlético Centro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Ferrer to maneuver through the defense.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Acevedo got free with Martín Campaña in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Erasmo Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Quinquela Martín's Martín Campaña got control of the ball when Fernando Acevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Erasmo Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgard Gabrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Gartzea in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Quinquela Martín's Ariel Rayman got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match Lisandro Ospetsu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martín Campaña showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 86 played minutes Quinquela Martín got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Barea. Erasmo Gartzea took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Gabrio. Edgard Gabrio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Edgard Gabrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Gartzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
