If Alfonso Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Txordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aldo Matai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernan Blasco was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Txordon got free with Aldo Matai in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfonso Txordon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Matai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Benítez AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though C A B had controlled the match.
