The referee ignored Esquel FC's protests and gave Moises Isidor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of La cantera de Manuelita booed when Esquel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Isidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Esquel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Ubelteso came free, but Ulises Sesuldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristo Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cristo Natal made the kick off in the second half. Ulises Sesuldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Natal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Natal in the 61st minute of play forced Esquel FC's goalkeeper Ulises Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Ubelteso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ulises Sesuldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La cantera de Manuelita's Aureliano Eyague was substituted for Pascual Selatse. Ulises Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Bartuelo in the 68th minute of play. Nicolas Ubelteso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulises Sesuldo came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicolas Ubelteso slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 77th minute. In the 83rd match minute, La cantera de Manuelita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Bemabe to maneuver through the defense.
