The referee ignored Benítez AFC's protests and gave Segundo Belarmo a yellow card for diving instead. Godofredo Jaen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Rodriguez in the 17th minute of the match. Godofredo Jaen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Breogan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th match minute, Benítez AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Belarmo to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Guaberto Isadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Jaen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Breogan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Jaen having to interfere. Aldo Matai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Stanciu in the 36th minute. After 36 played minutes Los Wachibonitos got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Lauro. 48 minutes into the match, Los Wachibonitos's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Isadore came free, but Godofredo Jaen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernan Blasco to strike the kick off in the second half. If Julian Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Cresenciano hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Los Wachibonitos's Victoriano Asier managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Modesto Nesto in the 59 minute of the game. Julian Guzman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Matai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Los Wachibonitos's attentive Ricardo Cresenciano managed to snatch the ball when Modesto Nesto made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Blasco in the 70th minute of play forced Los Wachibonitos's goalkeeper Godofredo Jaen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Los Wachibonitos's goalkeeper Godofredo Jaen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Breogan. Aldo Matai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Benítez AFC's Segundo Belarmo got a free kick in the 76th minute. Godofredo Jaen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Blasco in the 80th minute of the match. Segundo Belarmo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Julian Guzman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Matai having to make a save. When Segundo Belarmo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. In the 85th minute, Segundo Belarmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victoriano Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Matai having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Adrian Stanciu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Aldo Matai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Los Wachibonitos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
