Emanuel Eudoxio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Cordarin having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Manni got free with Ovidio Cordarin in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mercedes were furious when Gualterio Cesaro was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 23rd minute, one of Mercedes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mercedes. Manuel Crescencio walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Emanuel Eudoxio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes, Zeledon Ostots mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cereales AFC and the Mercedes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Zeledon Ostots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cereales AFC's Ovidio Cordarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Eudoxio in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Cereales AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Mercedes's Higinio Manni got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Eudoxio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ovidio Cordarin came out and tried to block the shot, but Emanuel Eudoxio slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Eudoxio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mercedes's Emanuel Eudoxio got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cereales AFC's Ovidio Cordarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Eudoxio in the 64th minute of play. If Emanuel Eudoxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Cordarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Luzea in the 69th minute of the match. Hilario Lartaun kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Emanuel Eudoxio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Urbano Jusepe was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Hilario Lartaun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hilario Lartaun really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 90th minute, Emanuel Eudoxio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Higinio Manni hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Mercedes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
