Vicente Refugio hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Providencia AFC's zone, Cleto Henry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Iraitz came out of the goal and Cleto Henry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Amato in the 18th minute of play forced Providencia AFC's goalkeeper Baltasar Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Oriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Erroman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Henry in the 27th minute of play forced Providencia AFC's goalkeeper Baltasar Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tonono's Alfredo Erroman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Ticho in the 54th minute of play. Hernan Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute of the match Hernan Checa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Erroman skillfully saved the ball. 80 minutes in the game, Domingos Menendo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Baltasar Iraitz having to interfere. After some careless play in the Tonono defense, Genaro Ticho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Erroman. The Tonono fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Erroman should have stopped the shot. When Providencia AFC's Genaro Ticho in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pedro Amato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Providencia AFC's Genaro Ticho got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleto Henry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Baltasar Iraitz made a huge save.
