Spectators: 6651 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Rigoberto Lohitzun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Lohitzun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 12th minute, Marcial Gaskon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palermo's Ubaldo Sol managed to work through Manantiales's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ubaldo Sol dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Rigoberto Lohitzun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Braulio Chucho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manantiales's Apolo Edur got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Matias Cristos got a free kick in the 27th minute. Virgilio Mateus did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Damian Roldanillo 30 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palermo's goalkeeper Damian Roldanillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apolo Edur was the one to do the kick off. Ubaldo Sol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Braulio Chucho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Manantiales's zone, Rigoberto Lohitzun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Chucho came out of the goal and Rigoberto Lohitzun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Ubaldo Sol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Sol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Palermo's Rigoberto Lohitzun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Braulio Chucho. That made the score 1-1 after 64 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Virgilio Mateus put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Damian Roldanillo. If Rigoberto Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Roldanillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Mateus in the 83rd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Maximo Rodas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manantiales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo the free kick. 89 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Lohitzun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Braulio Chucho. Manantiales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Lohitzun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
