Jorge Toribio came out of the goal and Elpidio Lazcano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xeneixes's Jorge Toribio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Lazcano in the 14th minute of play. Jorge Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Rosalio in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Llorian during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cerrillos FC's Sebastian Rosalio in the 95th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jorge Toribio was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Xeneixes through an amazing save. Xeneixes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Sebastian Rosalio scored to the left of an out of position Jorge Toribio, making the score, 0-1. The Cerrillos FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
