Faustino Perfecto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faustino Vasco having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Ricardo Beltran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elpidio Rexino's late challenge caught a Almirante Brown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lipeo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ricardo Beltran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melquiades Venceslao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Katia, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Julio Chumo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Faustino Vasco, 0-2. In the 79th minute, Ricardo Beltran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ricardo Beltran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Salvador Katia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Katia in the 92nd minute of play. If Salvador Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Almirante Brown manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lipeo to win.
