The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Mi Pirata Cordobé's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Mede came free, but Godofredo Fagildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th match minute, LOS MEJORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Olo to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godofredo Fagildo came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by LOS MEJORES's Iker Cordero. But to his dismay, Iker Cordero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 14 minutes, Everardo Raphael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LOS MEJORES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Raphael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moises Lucado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Berbiz having to interfere. Nestor Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Eufrasio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Berbiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Lucado in the 28th minute. Nicolas Eufrasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nestor Berbiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Fagildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Goizeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Goizeder to strike the kick off in the second half. Iker Cordero struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Godofredo Fagildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOS MEJORES. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Lucado in the 61st minute of play forced LOS MEJORES's goalkeeper Nestor Berbiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godofredo Fagildo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iker Cordero in the 64th minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Tomas Goizeder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mi Pirata Cordobé's Godofredo Fagildo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of LOS MEJORES booed when Mi Pirata Cordobé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Eufrasio in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Berbiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fausto Arlo's late challenge caught a LOS MEJORES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Arlo helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Goizeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Godofredo Fagildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Cordero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Lucado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Berbiz having to interfere. Nicolas Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to LOS MEJORES getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Delmar Bilbo hit a great ball.
