After 4 played minutes, Almirante Brown's Gaspar Fernanco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Arotza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Almirante Brown reached it. After a rather tough play, Fortin FC's Leandro Hug got a free kick in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Fortin FC's Arsenio Liher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustino Vasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vicente Arotza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Beltran in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Fortin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Normando to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 12 minutes, Salvador Katia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almirante Brown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Katia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Beltran struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Vicente Arotza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almirante Brown. 21 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Hug came free, but Faustino Vasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Argi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Almirante Brown's Faustino Vasco got control of the ball when Leandro Hug tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vicente Arotza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Beltran in the 30th minute of the match. Ricardo Beltran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Vasco having to interfere. After the first half Almirante Brown were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Hug made a kick off. Leandro Hug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 played minutes Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Argi. Arsenio Liher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Faustino Vasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arsenio Liher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Hug came free, but Faustino Vasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Almirante Brown booed when Fortin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Normando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almirante Brown's Gaspar Fernanco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vicente Arotza but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leandro Hug during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Almirante Brown eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
