Spectators: 7191 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 143) After a defensive mix-up in Lipeo's zone, Leandro Hug stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Venceslao came out of the goal and Leandro Hug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Venceslao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leandro Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Vicente Arotza managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Lipeo's Faustino Perfecto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Melquiades Venceslao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Liher, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Liher in the 20th minute of play forced Lipeo's goalkeeper Melquiades Venceslao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Julio Chumo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vicente Arotza. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Leandro Hug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Rio charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Rio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Lipeo got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Rio. Melquiades Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Hug in the 27th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Hug stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arsenio Liher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Leandro Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Fortin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Liher to maneuver through the defense. Leon Gaskon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Arotza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Lipeo's Melquiades Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Hug in the 92nd minute of play. If Faustino Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lipeo had won after a very even match.
