No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cirilo Lia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Zeledon Markel came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the F.C. New City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Markel couldn't finish the play. Mateo George showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Loren, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Zeledon Markel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo George. Atraucó AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Markel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Markel in the 64th minute of play forced Atraucó AFC's goalkeeper Mateo George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zeledon Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Markel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mateo George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anibal Etxekopar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo George having to interfere. Anibal Etxekopar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo George read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of F.C. New City booed when Atraucó AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Etxekopar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Etxekopar in the 97th minute of play. F.C. New City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
