Severiano Gartzi charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Gartzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Junín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Gartzi to maneuver through the defense. Celedonio Dalmu might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Misael Viya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celedonio Dalmu ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Nerio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Misael Viya. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 26th minute, Mauro Nerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luzuriaga FC's Celedonio Dalmu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Severiano Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Junín's zone, Mauro Nerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Misael Viya came out of the goal and Mauro Nerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Salomone lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 34th minute, one of Junín:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Junín. The referee gave Luzuriaga FC a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victorino Jacob, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Junín's Misael Viya. 2-0. The audience was convinced that Celedonio Dalmu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Misael Viya was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Ciriaco Baldovino hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Celedonio Dalmu struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Misael Viya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
