Uspallata AFC's Omar Elija played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Cruz in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Delmar Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Elija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Jacindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Marcial Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Backyardigans's zone, Bartolo Fiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Mino came out of the goal and Bartolo Fiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haroldo Abarca's late challenge caught a Uspallata AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Abarca helped the player get up and apologised. Haroldo Abarca kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Marcial Mino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolo Fiz in the 89th minute. Omar Elija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
