Sportivo Backyardigans's Delmar Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Claudio Tab came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Alpachiri FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Tab couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, Aurelio Paez notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Alpachiri FC's Eustacio Seguinus. Eustacio Seguinus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claudio Tab might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcial Mino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Tab ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sportivo Backyardigans booed when Alpachiri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Leheren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Alpachiri FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Paez came free, but Eustacio Seguinus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustacio Seguinus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Paez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 31 minutes, Claudio Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpachiri FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Tab was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 played minutes Alpachiri FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Timo. When Sportivo Backyardigans's Aurelio Paez in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alpachiri FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute, Claudio Tab got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

51 minutes into the match, Alpachiri FC's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Cruz came free, but Eustacio Seguinus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Backyardigans's zone, Claudio Tab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Mino came out of the goal and Claudio Tab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eustacio Seguinus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Cruz in the 55th minute of play. Claudio Tab recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aurelio Paez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Tab could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Marcial Mino made a huge save. Marcial Mino made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Antonio Timo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Sportivo Backyardigans's Marcial Mino got control of the ball when Claudio Tab tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saul Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Eriberto Acevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Delmar Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Backyardigans's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alpachiri FC the free kick. In the 94th minute, Delmar Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sportivo Backyardigans were victorious despite being under pressure from Alpachiri FC for much of the match.
