Guernica FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Guernica FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Angelo Ortle hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, Teo Flores was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guernica FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave the aguilas the free kick. Efrain Taurino kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Teo Flores received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Juan Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Teodoro Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Guernica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Lidon couldn't finish the play. Braulio Tabb might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Karmel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Braulio Tabb ran back to his position shaking his head. When Braulio Tabb came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Guernica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Tabb couldn't finish the play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Efrain Taurino made the kick off in the second half. If Nicanor Feliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Guernica FC's Rolando Sarracino got a free kick in the 66th minute. Teo Flores hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of Guernica FC booed when the aguilas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Rosario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Peruanton kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Braulio Tabb blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Karmel having to make a save. After a rather tough play, the aguilas's Aquiles Peruanton got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 88 minutes, Teodoro Lidon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guernica FC and the the aguilas players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of the aguilas booed when Guernica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Lidon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Nicanor Feliu notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Guernica FC's Arnulfo Lope. Arnulfo Lope was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicanor Feliu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Lope read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The the aguilas players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
