Marcos Sotil kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Natalio Urki was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luciano Tuste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Melquiades Ruisko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Clementi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Arsenio Nazario's late challenge caught a Belgrano Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arsenio Nazario helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute of the match, Melquiades Ruisko got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mario Clementi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fernando Corderun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Belgrano Football Club's Eustacio Jago got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Sebastian Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Fernando Corderun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luciano Tuste. Belgrano Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Corderun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 45 played minutes San Martín de Tucumán got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Nazario. If Melquiades Ruisko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvano Natal made a kick off. The supporters of Belgrano Football Club booed when San Martín de Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Fresco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute Silvano Natal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Clementi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Belgrano Football Club's Eustacio Jago got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Fernando Corderun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Kinsen hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Belgrano Football Club defense, Fernando Corderun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luciano Tuste. The Belgrano Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Tuste should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Hechter's late challenge caught a Belgrano Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a little luck, Belgrano Football Club's Luciano Tuste got control of the ball when Fernando Corderun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernando Corderun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Luciano Tuste made a huge save. Mario Clementi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melquiades Ruisko went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 83rd minute, Melquiades Ruisko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 minutes of play, Belgrano Football Club's Silvano Natal made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario Clementi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the game, Belgrano Football Club's Melquiades Ruisko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mario Clementi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Belgrano Football Club's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
