When Octavio Danel fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Millennils FC's protests and gave Octavio Danel a yellow card for diving instead. Octavio Danel hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Ciro Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millennils FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Acuña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Egoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ladislao Abeijon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ciro Acuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Misaels short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Mario Clementi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Albino Giraldo's late challenge caught a San Martín de Tucumán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Giraldo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Millennils FC's Albino Giraldo got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 27 minutes of play Millennils FC's Octavio Danel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Octavio Danel kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, San Martín de Tucumán's Natalio Urki tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arsenio Nazario hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Ciro Acuña's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Mario Clementi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Conrado Misael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Clementi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Hori in the 38th minute of the match. Salvador Hori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Clementi having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Egoi was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Arsenio Nazario managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Martín de Tucumán's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Nazario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Clementi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Hori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Gonza charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodosio Gonza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Millennils FC booed when San Martín de Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Gonza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Corderun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
