GIMNASIA LA PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedicto Blanco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Tono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that 苏青勇's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carmelo Tono was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. GIMNASIA LA PLATA's 苏青勇 managed to work through C. A. Maquina's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. 苏青勇 dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Benedicto Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30thth minute of the game 苏青勇 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Maquina's Carmelo Tono was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uriel Diagur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Tono having to interfere. After 36 minutes, 苏青勇 made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. C. A. Maquina's Carmelo Tono tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the game, Rosendo Cordarryl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Maquina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GIMNASIA LA PLATA the free kick. In the 40th minute, Rosendo Cordarryl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jimeno Eusko's late challenge caught a C. A. Maquina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jimeno Eusko helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GIMNASIA LA PLATA's Jimeno Eusko got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When 苏青勇 came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the GIMNASIA LA PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 苏青勇 couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, C. A. Maquina's Carmelo Tono got control of the ball when Fidel Bixintxo tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 苏青勇 in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carmelo Tono saved C. A. Maquina from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Maquina's zone, 苏青勇 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Tono came out of the goal and 苏青勇 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, C. A. Maquina's goalkeeper Carmelo Tono had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 苏青勇. 苏青勇 took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carmelo Tono. Carmelo Tono dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Benedicto Blanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of GIMNASIA LA PLATA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C. A. Maquina:s goal. GIMNASIA LA PLATA:s Ismael Jago showed great skill when he stopped Candido Elija:s penalty. Candido Elija did an outstanding performance 77 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-3 to the right of an irritated Ismael Jago in the goal. 82 minutes into the match, C. A. Maquina's goalkeeper Carmelo Tono had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 苏青勇. If 苏青勇 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of GIMNASIA LA PLATA booed when C. A. Maquina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Cordarryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. 苏青勇 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Tono having to interfere. 苏青勇 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GIMNASIA LA PLATA reached it. When the match was over GIMNASIA LA PLATA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C. A. Maquina throughout the match.
