Guaberto Rozarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Malvin having to interfere. The supporters of Club Atletico Ayacucho booed when C. A. Maquina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Cordarryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Conrado Sotil sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C. A. Maquina's Carmelo Tono didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Rozarius in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Atletico Ayacucho's goalkeeper Placido Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guaberto Rozarius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faustino Gau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Malvin having to interfere. Carmelo Tono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Egun in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Carlos Muno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Tono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. Maquina's Rosendo Cordarryl got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ceferino Egun scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carmelo Tono, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, C. A. Maquina's Guaberto Rozarius got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Club Atletico Ayacucho's Carlos Muno got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Tono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Muno in the 47th minute of play. The C. A. Maquina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atletico Ayacucho were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guaberto Rozarius to make the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Carlos Muno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Ayacucho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Muno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Gau in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Placido Malvin saved Club Atletico Ayacucho from getting behind. Faustino Gau struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Placido Malvin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Maquina. Carlos Muno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes, Segundo Pirro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Ayacucho and the C. A. Maquina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Segundo Pirro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, C. A. Maquina's Faustino Gau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Placido Malvin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, C. A. Maquina's Carmelo Tono got control of the ball when Ceferino Egun tried to sneak it across the goal line.
