With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Theodore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jeronimo Jurgi fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polledo's protests and gave Jeronimo Jurgi a yellow card for diving instead. Victoriano Tabby's late challenge caught a Polledo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 93rd minute, Arturo Quinten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Arturo Quinten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polledo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Quinten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
