Zona Pedernera's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Francho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Chale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcial Vincente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Felipillo in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Zona Pedernera had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
