Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Cordearo in the 12th minute of play forced Libertad AFC's goalkeeper Mariano Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Emilio Havier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mariano Nazario. Emilio Havier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 20 minutes of play, Neuquén's Hermengildo Maidana made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Nazario was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Neuquén's Hermengildo Maidana got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute, Feliciano Maidana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Maidana couldn't finish the play. Jeronimo Cordearo got in the 37th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mariano Nazario handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Libertad AFC's goalkeeper Mariano Nazario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hermengildo Maidana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute of the match Neuquén got a corner. Libertad AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Epifanio Merexildo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Neuquén's corner Epifanio Merexildo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mariano Nazario quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Narciso Bizen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mariano Nazario. Libertad AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Feliciano Maidana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hermengildo Maidana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Maidana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Neuquén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Cordearo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Nazario didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Lugo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Neuquén walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
