With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candido Brais in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Dominix saved Devoto Fc from getting behind. 4 minutes into the match, Devoto Fc's Edelmiro Mouricio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Lia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maravilla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonel Berenguer was slow to take the kick. During this time Devoto Fc's players had a chance to rest. In the 6thth minute of the game Albano Luzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maravilla's Mateo Lia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Devoto Fc's Ariel Dominix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Brais in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes in the game, Candido Brais dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Mateo Lia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Mouricio, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Candido Brais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Dominix having to interfere. With his leg Ariel Dominix managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Maravilla's Candido Brais fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Maravilla booed when Devoto Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Mouricio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Dominix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Vega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Candido Brais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diego Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Diego Vega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maravilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Vega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Dominix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Candido Brais to make the kick off. Mateo Lia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Bikendi in the 51st minute. Diego Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ariel Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Maravilla fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Maravilla's Candido Brais looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Albano Luzea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Mateo Lia made a huge save. Maravilla's Mateo Lia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Sindo in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Devoto Fc's goalkeeper Ariel Dominix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Candido Brais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Dominix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Diego Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ariel Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Mouricio hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Maravilla's Candido Brais in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Devoto Fc's goalie prevented a goal. In the 83rd minute, Candido Brais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ariel Dominix was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Devoto Fc's Aristides Mogel got a free kick in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Maravilla had played much better football throughout.
