In the 2nd match minute, Poderoso Gael was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Roldanillo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Laurendi in the 6th minute of play forced Muñecos Toy's goalkeeper Edgard Mede to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jacobo Lizer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Nabar was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 11th match minute, Poderoso Gael was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Guter to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Lizer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melquiades Nabar having to make a save. Edgard Mede showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Laurendi in the 17th minute of the match. Jacobo Lizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Venancio Laurendi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Muñecos Toy's Edgard Mede. Edgard Mede was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 27 minutes of play, Poderoso Gael's Venancio Laurendi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Mede was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Muñecos Toy's Jacobo Lizer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Nabar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Zé Carlos Almeida was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, one of Muñecos Toy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Muñecos Toy's Edgard Mede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Gartzi in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Mateo Gartzi made the kick off in the second half. Edgard Mede made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Laurendi in the 53rd minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Jacobo Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muñecos Toy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Lizer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximino Nikola kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Cornelio Egun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muñecos Toy's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Egun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Nabar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Mede came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Poderoso Gael's Omar Macerio. But to his dismay, Omar Macerio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. If Mateo Gartzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Laurendi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Mede came out and tried to block the shot, but Venancio Laurendi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 70th minute. Edgard Mede showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Gartzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Cornelio Egun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muñecos Toy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Egun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Mede took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Gartzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Lizer in the 97th minute of play forced Poderoso Gael's goalkeeper Melquiades Nabar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Poderoso Gael supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Poderoso Gael would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
