In the 30thth minute of the game Aristides Beltza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muñecos Toy's Edgard Mede was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mateo Navarro got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Jacobo Lizer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Eusebio Rojelio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Jacobo Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes Nihuil AFC got a freekick which was hit by Astor Abad. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Jordi Irureta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Nihuil AFC booed when Muñecos Toy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Qwinton didn't get a good kick on the ball.
