The audience thought a goal was coming when Herminio Frederik got free with Tadeo Beltza in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Tadeo Beltza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Frederik. 13 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Rosio came free, but Tadeo Beltza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Herminio Frederik took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tadeo Beltza to make any attempt to save it. In the 17th minute, Herminio Frederik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Estudiantes de La Plata's Tadeo Beltza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de La Plata from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Herminio Frederik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tadeo Beltza, 2-0. Estudiantes de La Plata's Tadeo Beltza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Bermudo in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulgencio Neron got free with Tadeo Beltza in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de La Plata's Melchor Fidele got a free kick in the 28th minute. Fulgencio Neron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Beltza having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as CLUB ATLETICO BELGRANO's Herminio Frederik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeo Beltza. That made the score 3-0 after 31 minutes of play. Tadeo Beltza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Cugat, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. CLUB ATLETICO BELGRANO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Virgilio Benet in the 42nd minute. CLUB ATLETICO BELGRANO's Fulgencio Neron was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tadeo Beltza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Estudiantes de La Plata's Tadeo Beltza got control of the ball when Fulgencio Neron tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute Haroldo Rosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Beltza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulino Hernandez to make the kick off.
