The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Galsino in the 8th minute of play forced Bomberos Unidos's goalkeeper Flavio Endira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Bomberos Unidos's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Galsino came free, but Flavio Endira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Mikelats struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Amadeo Sabin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bomberos Unidos. Amadeo Sabin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Mikelats, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Anier Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Endira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Evis in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Goicó's Alvaro Evis made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Endira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 34 minutes, Lisandro Distiratsu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goicó and the Bomberos Unidos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Goicó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Distiratsu to maneuver through the defense. Anier Bernard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Amadeo Sabin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Bomberos Unidos's zone, Alvaro Evis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Endira came out of the goal and Alvaro Evis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Endira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernabe Galsino went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Goicó were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Alvaro Evis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Flavio Endira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Goicó's Lisandro Distiratsu got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Lisandro Distiratsu off the ground. A collision led to Goicó getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Lisandro Distiratsu hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Anier Bernard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bomberos Unidos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Bernard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Mikelats in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Sabin saved Goicó from getting behind. Amadeo Sabin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Mikelats, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Bomberos Unidos's goalkeeper Flavio Endira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernabe Galsino. Filomeno Policarpio struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Amadeo Sabin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bomberos Unidos. In the 80th minute, Ruperto Mikelats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, one of Goicó:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Bomberos Unidos a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Siro Sayveon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Goicó's Amadeo Sabin. 1-3. In the 94th minute, Ruperto Mikelats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Goicó walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
