The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ruperto Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Club Atlético River BR's Roque Abadie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Cosme Merexildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Endira having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Roque Abadie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Club Atlético River BR booed when Bomberos Unidos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Vigil didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Roque Abadie dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Flavio Endira, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Merexildo got free with Flavio Endira in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roque Abadie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flavio Endira came out and tried to block the shot, but Roque Abadie slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Ulises Isaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Bomberos Unidos's Flavio Endira got control of the ball when Roque Abadie tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Roque Abadie made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Anier Bernard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Austin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Cosme Merexildo scored 4-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Endira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Austin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anier Bernard's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético River BR's Gavino Lucado got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ciro Fonda's late challenge caught a Bomberos Unidos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Fonda helped the player get up and apologised. Ciro Fonda hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Francisco Austin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Bernard in the 68th minute. Maximiliano Macias hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético River BR's zone, Anier Bernard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Austin came out of the goal and Anier Bernard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosme Merexildo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Endira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filomeno Policarpio during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bomberos Unidos's Filomeno Policarpio got a free kick in the 84th minute. Flavio Endira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Merexildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Serafino Maldonado fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bomberos Unidos's protests and gave Serafino Maldonado a yellow card for diving instead. Roque Abadie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anier Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Francisco Austin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético River BR's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
