Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Higinio Jeraldo started the match with the kick off. Generoso Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Orzaize. Placido Abeita kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 23 minutes, Saul Kaxen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa FC and the Líbano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute Higinio Jeraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Richie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Jeraldo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Placido Abeita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Carmelo Silbestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Richie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Jeraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Higinio Jeraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the match, Higinio Jeraldo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Líbano's Wilfredo Richie. Wilfredo Richie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 44 minutes, Orlando Perpinya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Perpinya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Higinio Jeraldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Generoso Guerrero made the kick off in the second half. If Placido Abeita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Perpinya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Wilfredo Richie made a huge save. Cosme Pacho kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The supporters of Santa FC booed when Líbano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Ferran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Santa FC's Higinio Jeraldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfredo Richie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ciro Abeitia kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Placido Abeita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Richie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Jeraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Higinio Jeraldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Richie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Serafino Buinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Perpinya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th match minute, Líbano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Buinton to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santa FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
