Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Javier Tonete started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Saldungaray's Higinio Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Abeita in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Arnoldo Sanson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Javier Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lázaro Ferran's late challenge caught a Saldungaray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Ferran helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Lázaro Ferran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Líbano's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Tonete came free, but Wilfredo Richie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Generoso Guerrero might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Frechoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Generoso Guerrero ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Saldungaray's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Abeita came free, but Higinio Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Líbano's Wilfredo Richie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Tonete in the 20th minute of play. Romeo Reynardo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Javier Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Arnoldo Sanson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saldungaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Sanson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 35 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Santana. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Sanson got free with Wilfredo Richie in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Javier Tonete in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfredo Richie saved Líbano from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Arnoldo Sanson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saldungaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Sanson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Richie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Cleto Tono hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Líbano's Lázaro Ferran got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Arnoldo Sanson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Arnoldo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Tonete took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfredo Richie. Wilfredo Richie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Generoso Guerrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Higinio Frechoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Líbano defense, Javier Tonete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Richie. The Líbano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Richie should have stopped the shot. Arnoldo Sanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Richie having to interfere. Wilfredo Richie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Tonete in the 83rd minute of the match. Líbano's Wilfredo Richie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Sanson in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Tonete in the 91st minute of play forced Líbano's goalkeeper Wilfredo Richie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saldungaray's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
