When Higinio Jeraldo came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Santa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Jeraldo couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Flavio Lucila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orlando Perpinya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jonas Rodas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Polentzi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Grupo Mand's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Jeraldo came free, but Jonas Rodas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mario Quirce fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa FC's protests and gave Mario Quirce a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Orlando Perpinya fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonas Rodas, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 36 minutes, Orlando Perpinya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Perpinya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Grupo Mand getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Desiderio Nuno hit a great ball. Orlando Perpinya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jonas Rodas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Polentzi hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santa FC's zone, Flavio Lucila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Silbestre came out of the goal and Flavio Lucila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Jeraldo to make the kick off. Flavio Lucila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Silbestre having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Mario Quirce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Efrain Seguinus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Carmelo Silbestre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gaston Basualdo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes Santa FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Perpinya. Santa FC's Carmelo Silbestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Lucila in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Grupo Mand's Flavio Lucila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carmelo Silbestre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Flavio Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Perpinya might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Rodas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Perpinya ran back to his position shaking his head. After 85th play minutes Orlando Perpinya shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jonas Rodas and just under the crossbar into goal. Carmelo Silbestre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Lucila in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santa FC's Ciro Abeitia got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Efrain Seguinus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grupo Mand fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
