Wilfredo Richie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amancio Gabirel kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Lezama FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Gorka. Godofredo Formerio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paolo Mouricio. Lezama FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paolo Mouricio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Guerrero in the 15th minute of play. When Ramon Telo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Lezama FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Telo couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Gorka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Richie having to interfere. Placido Abeita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Mouricio having to interfere. Generoso Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Mouricio having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Líbano's Generoso Guerrero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paolo Mouricio. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. Lezama FC's Ramon Telo got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Ramon Telo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lezama FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Líbano the free kick. In the 41st minute, Ramon Telo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Líbano's Generoso Guerrero got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Ramon Telo made the kick off in the second half. Ramon Telo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Richie having to interfere. Adolfo Orzaize sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Generoso Guerrero scored 2-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paolo Mouricio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lázaro Ferran's late challenge caught a Lezama FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Ferran helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 75 minutes, Generoso Guerrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Líbano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Generoso Guerrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lezama FC's Paolo Mouricio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Guerrero in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute Ramon Telo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Richie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramon Telo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilfredo Richie. That made the score 2-2 in the 81 minute of play. Feliberto Gorbea hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Paolo Mouricio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Generoso Guerrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Placido Abeita came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Líbano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Abeita couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
