The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Pirmin got free with Higinio Frechoso in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th match minute, Zapla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Elixio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Arnoldo Sanson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saldungaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Sanson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Guerrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albano Domenec kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Javier Tonete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Julian Tulio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd match minute, Zapla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Santo to maneuver through the defense. In the 35thth minute of the game Javier Tonete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zapla AFC's Christian Guerrero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Sanson in the 36th minute of play forced Zapla AFC's goalkeeper Christian Guerrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Sanson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Christian Guerrero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomero Santo to make the kick off. Christian Guerrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Tonete in the 52nd minute of play.
