The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Chayo got free with Israel Serapio in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernardo Mannuel hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Aquiles Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Ferran in the 29th minute of play forced Fili F.C.'s goalkeeper Anibal Sandalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Manex received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Israel Serapio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Christian Gelacio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpintería's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Gelacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Israel Serapio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Chayo in the 90th minute of the match. Artemio Ferran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artemio Ferran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anibal Sandalio having to make a save.
