The supporters of Piquense Futbol Club booed when Guardian Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Gilesindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aquiles Gitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guardian Fc's Marcelo Socorro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Elizardo in the 35th minute of play. Aquiles Gitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Roberto Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Evelio Frantzes fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guardian Fc's protests and gave Evelio Frantzes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guardian Fc's Evelio Frantzes got a free kick in the 44th minute. Julian Beltza missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 46 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Marcelo Socorro right hand side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquiles Gitano to strike the kick off in the second half. Saturnino Sendoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Marcelo Socorro made a huge save. After 58 minutes of play, Piquense Futbol Club's Benjamin Elizardo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Socorro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eduardo Adrio's late challenge caught a Piquense Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Adrio helped the player get up and apologised. Eduardo Adrio kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Omar Gilesindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Bernat having to make a save. If Omar Gilesindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Piquense Futbol Club's zone, Aquiles Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Bernat came out of the goal and Aquiles Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apolo Jatsu struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Roberto Bernat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guardian Fc. Kevin Defaux charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevin Defaux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Piquense Futbol Club getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Kevin Defaux hit a great ball. Aquiles Gitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Roberto Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Aquiles Gitano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guardian Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Piquense Futbol Club's Benjamin Elizardo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Piquense Futbol Club players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Guardian Fc from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
