The supporters of Unzué booed when Helvecia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Valery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Urti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Kiliz having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Helvecia's goalkeeper Epifanio Txindoki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Jaime Florian recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Epifanio Txindoki. Jaime Florian showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Humberto Kiliz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Jeraldo went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vladimiro Jobo came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Epifanio Txindoki could save by the left post. Epifanio Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Florian, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Unzué's zone, Jonas Jeraldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Kiliz came out of the goal and Jonas Jeraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Urti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Kiliz having to interfere. A collision led to Unzué getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Feliberto Guerau hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Jeraldo made a kick off. After 52nd play minutes Jorge Urti shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Humberto Kiliz and just under the crossbar into goal. Vladimiro Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Epifanio Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Unzué supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Helvecia's performance. The match ended with a win for Helvecia.
