All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pirámide FC's Delmiro Paublo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Sarmiento's Victorio Locaio got control of the ball when Delmiro Paublo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgard Duarte kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victorio Locaio. That made the score 1-2 in the 69 minute of play. Victorio Locaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorio Locaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Duarte in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Edgard Duarte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorio Locaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Edgard Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Victorio Locaio made a huge save. Delmiro Paublo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Delmiro Paublo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgard Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Locaio having to interfere. Casimiro Barto kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Delmiro Paublo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Pirámide FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sarmiento throughout the match.
