In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Helvecia's goalkeeper Epifanio Txindoki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Ascencio in the 12th minute of play forced Helvecia's goalkeeper Epifanio Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Sendoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Urti's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Jonas Jeraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Sendoa having to interfere. Manuel Sendoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Jeraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Virgilio Chepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Txindoki having to interfere. Epifanio Txindoki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Obano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Adrio in the 41st minute of play forced Helvecia's goalkeeper Epifanio Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Obano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Epifanio Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Obano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Virgilio Chepe came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Formosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Chepe couldn't finish the play. Erasmo Obano got in the 64th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Epifanio Txindoki handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Jonas Jeraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Sendoa having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Formosa players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
