Spectators: 7124 (Terracing: 5485, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 39) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Honorio Loiola started the match with the kick off. If Mauricio Romelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loreto's Sergio Caradaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Loreto from getting a goal against them. Mauricio Romelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Goyeneche's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Jerold came free, but Abelardo Frisco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uriel Jerold in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Frisco saved Goyeneche from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Goyeneche's Leon Llanos got a free kick in the 12th minute. Loreto's Uriel Jerold got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Valerio charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Valerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Goyeneche got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Valerio. If Uriel Jerold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Romelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sergio Caradaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Llanos kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Loreto's Cecilio Ospetsu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 29 minutes into the game, one of Goyeneche:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Abelardo Frisco had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Cecilio Ospetsu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Leon Llanos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 36thth minute of the game Uriel Jerold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goyeneche's Abelardo Frisco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Goyeneche's Carmelo Valerio got a free kick in the 37th minute. Carmelo Valerio got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 39th match minute, Goyeneche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Valerio to maneuver through the defense. After 40 played minutes, Loreto's Cecilio Ospetsu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abelardo Frisco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Loreto reached it. In the 45th minute, Honorio Loiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Goyeneche's Abelardo Frisco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Goyeneche from getting a goal against them. In the 58th play minute Uriel Jerold came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abelardo Frisco. 0-1. In the 62nd match minute, Goyeneche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Romelio to maneuver through the defense. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Loreto's Honorio Loiola in the 64th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Abelardo Frisco was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Goyeneche through an amazing save. After some careless play in the Goyeneche defense, Uriel Jerold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Frisco. The Goyeneche fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Frisco should have stopped the shot. Leon Llanos took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Caradaro. Sergio Caradaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Honorio Loiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Goyeneche's zone, Marciano Umea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Frisco came out of the goal and Marciano Umea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Honorio Llanos came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Goyeneche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Llanos couldn't finish the play. Uriel Jerold struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Abelardo Frisco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loreto. Abelardo Frisco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Loiola in the 85th minute of play. Leo Gabirel hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Loreto had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
