He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Navia reached it. Elpidio Fidele kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Leo Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Tirso having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Navia's Ermegildo Emenon threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gustavo Ramond, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alvaro Tirso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Natanael in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Navia's goalkeeper Alvaro Tirso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Primitivo Hondo fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Navia's protests and gave Primitivo Hondo a yellow card for diving instead. Primitivo Hondo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Primitivo Hondo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. When Dionisio Natanael came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Natanael couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Rafaela's goalkeeper Ermegildo Emenon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisito Mikelar.

Luisito Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Emenon having to interfere. Ermegildo Emenon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Mikelar in the 92nd minute of play. Pascual Platon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionisio Natanael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Alvaro Tirso made a huge save.
