Lino Handi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Joel Fertus made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Clementi in the 10th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Joel Fertus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Arsenio Chale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douglas Haig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tumanas FC the free kick. In the 11th minute, Arsenio Chale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Generoso Ovando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Saul Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantino Phelipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeledon Clementi in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Fertus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, Tumanas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Ovando came free, but Saul Santio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Generoso Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tumanas FC's goalkeeper Saul Santio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Constantino Phelipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Santio having to interfere. Douglas Haig's Joel Fertus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Douglas Haig from getting a goal against them. Joel Fertus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Erramu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeledon Clementi was the one to do the kick off. Generoso Ovando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Santio having to interfere. Joel Fertus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Douglas Haig's Haroldo Monico ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Saul Santio. Saul Santio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Saul Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Ovando in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Douglas Haig's Generoso Ovando made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saul Santio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Handi came free, but Joel Fertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tumanas FC booed when Douglas Haig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Esdras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Generoso Ovando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Constantino Phelipe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Haig's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Phelipe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Santio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Generoso Ovando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Fertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Erramu in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Sugar in the 94th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Joel Fertus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Fertus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Sugar, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
