Miguel Faron started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Manantiales F.C.'s Gualterio Filipo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jeremias Osoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Garin in the 11th minute of play. Javier Garin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Osoitz having to interfere. Felix Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Remicio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de La Plata's Aquiles Maore got a free kick in the 18th minute. Manantiales F.C.'s Jeremias Osoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Garin in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, one of Manantiales F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manantiales F.C.. The referee gave Estudiantes de La Plata a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Justo Ugaitz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manantiales F.C.'s Jeremias Osoitz. 1-1. If Javier Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualterio Filipo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Javier Garin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Osoitz having to interfere. Aquiles Maore's late challenge caught a Manantiales F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquiles Maore helped the player get up and apologised. Aquiles Maore hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Manantiales F.C. defense, Javier Garin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Osoitz. The Manantiales F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Osoitz should have stopped the shot. After the first half Estudiantes de La Plata were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Remicio was the one to do the kick off. Flavio Remicio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th match minute, Manantiales F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Joseph to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Manantiales F.C.'s zone, Miguel Faron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Osoitz came out of the goal and Miguel Faron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Remicio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Faron was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Felix Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Filipo in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Filipo in the 83rd minute of play forced Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Felix Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Garin struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jeremias Osoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de La Plata. Javier Garin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Osoitz having to interfere.
