Carolo Palben breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 13 minutes, Pedro Irrintzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escuela Tortuga and the Douglas Haig players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Douglas Haig booed when Escuela Tortuga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Irrintzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantino Phelipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carolo Palben made an important save on a dangerous shot by Constantino Phelipe in the 16th minute. Joel Fertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Celino in the 18th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Phelipe. Constantino Phelipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Escuela Tortuga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Pello to maneuver through the defense. Joel Fertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Firme in the 29th minute of the match. Constantino Phelipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Ur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escuela Tortuga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Douglas Haig the free kick. Ermegildo Ur hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Monico. When Valentin Celino came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Escuela Tortuga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Celino couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantino Phelipe to strike the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Constantino Phelipe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Constantino Phelipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Douglas Haig's Constantino Phelipe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carolo Palben made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Perrando during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Joel Fertus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Douglas Haig had played much better football throughout.
